The dream of a couple

"Our dream is to open a restaurant that shares the same passion for cooking as us," and that phrase was the motivation that Laura and Richard had to start working on their dream.

It was in 2015, after moving to Spain from Holland, when the couple started with their project La Cena by Nola Restaurants. The name comes in honor of their daughter, who gave them the inspiration to create something unique. In addition, as a curiosity in all restaurants is the photo of her daughter and if you visit from the first to the last you can see how the girl has been growing in each of "Las Cenas".

Already in 2016 with two chefs (one of them still in the company being the current head of kitchens) Laura and Richard together with another waitress began the adventure by opening the first of the restaurants in the town of Albir.

After some complicated beginnings, finally the business began to remain as a reference in the town of Albir. Later in 2017 they decided to expand the business in the town of Altea by opening LaCena by Nola Boulevard which was a success from the beginning. The company began to give results and Calpe was the next destination to open another restaurant in 2018. We all knew it would be much bigger than any of us could imagine!

Within years, Laura and Richard had made their vision a reality. A couple’s dream in which everything worked very well until the pandemic came, but despite the uncertainty Laura and Richard decided to see business opportunities and bet everything to acquire a new location between the beach of Albir and Altea getting open in 2020 the largest restaurant so far: LaCena by Nola Beach.

It was a succes for the company and this gave way to be able to open very quickly 3 more business; In 2021 LaCena by Nola in Moraira, in April 2022 Moments by Nola (a new concept of the most informal company dedicated to tapas and cocktails) and the most recent restaurants in September 2022 LaCena by Nola in Benidorm.

Our company is a family company despite being formed today by more than 80 people from different parts of the world. Our mission is to realize all ideas and we have great success stories that prove it. Today the company continues with the vision to continue growing and implementing new business beyond its base on the Costa Blanca.
